Obama’s healthcare

August 9th, 2009 by hmatt

There are many problems with having a two party system.

One is that the parties will always take their team over the welfare of the people.

I know both have done this in the past, but now it is Healthcare.

The problem with townhalls is that it gives people a forum for their dis-information. I remember the time I went to a science meeting and someone stood up and began harassing the scientists; being all upset that people don’t look into Nuclear power plants (I’m talking about you larouche).

The GOP wants to see the healthcare plan fail so they begin making all sorts of demands and wasting time arguing about the little things instead of just omitting the complicated issues. I hate how laws work. Bundling good stuff with the chaff – of course it won’t work! They call it compromise but it is all about watering down the proposal until it is inneffective.

I fear the worst; that Obama, in his attempts to make the GOP feel heard will allow those derailment plans to bleed his political future.

Of course, I have faith that Obama sees what is happening. That somehow the GOP members who can see what is right recognize that certain political figures are only into destroying politics than the health. That actual discussions take place for good.

Town halls just reward those people who make a stand and cause a ruckus.

You never hear about the loud members of an assembly agreeing. Agreement is usually quieter, as people are thinking and listening. The argumentive ones are trying to derail conversations and align people with their agenda… and they have twisted ideas that facts are up for interpretation. (fox news)

I’ve grown to really hate the media. Aren’t they really just vultures trying to buy and sell information. People should charge for interviews… otherwise it just gives fodder for the media gluttony.

Arg! It is so frustrating to think about.
