Egg Egg Timer
This is my Egg egg timer.
I was looking for this object for more than two years. My search finally came to a conclusion in June of 2000 in the small city of Jacksonville, Oregon. (just outside of Ashland where the Shakespeare festival is). It cost me $11.50 which was a little bit over what I wanted to spend but after years of searching with no avail I bought it on the spot. To me this is funny. It is an egg timer that is shapped like an egg. It's hilarious! I love it. It is one of my most prized possesions and I use it all the time.
It is made by some company whose name escapes me right now.
I like the wind up feature of this timer (Woo-hoo no batteries) and it has an actual bell ring instead of a beep. I tell you.. I looked everywhere for this thing! Everytime I came across a kitchen store they wouldn't have any. They'd always sell blue electronic egg timers that don't really look like eggs or apple shaped or orange shaped egg timers. Cute, but not as funny as the egg timer that looks like an actual egg. One thing that is annoying is that the bell goes off for a few seconds.. I'd like one that had a single bell for when I'm sitting right next to it.
