MP3 Cd Player- Rio-Volt SP100
This was my old CD player.
It stopped working within a year so I returned it and got a different player
I bought this player January 4, 2002 at Circuit City
It is made by Sonic Blue.
How incredible is it to have a cd player that can read mp3s? Way incredible. I can fit over 211 songs on one disk. I bought it so I could play old radio shows without having to convert them to the cd song format all the time. An average 30 minute show is like 3.5 mb, so I can have an entire run of a series on one or two disks! Plus, get this, this player is upgradable! I can download a file from the product's site and it can upgrade the player to read new formats, have better options and more! Way cool! Plus it comes with a corded remote, now I can leave the player in my backpack and use the remote yo! Quite keen!
I wish it had the ability to read WAV files too. I don't think any player can though. It would be handy to keep an original wav file along with the Mp3 on the same CD. Another bothersome item is, I can't keep anything else except mp3s on the cd. Instead of ignoring the other files the player will stop and report "NO DISC". Oh, and it comes with Earbuds.. At first quite uncomfortable but I've gotten ussed to them.
